Project Timeline

Sept 2003: Ground breaking.

Oct-Dec 2003: Complications with the site delay the completion of the concrete slab foundation.

Jan 2004: Radiant floor heat system is installed and concrete slab floor is poured.

Feb 2004: Framing begins.

Mar 2004: Home is roofed and south wall windows are installed.

Apr 2, 3, 4 2004: Bale blitz. All straw bale walls are installed!.

Apr-May 2004: Plastering of the straw bale walls is ongoing, beginning with earthen plaster and moving on to lime/sand stucco and gypsum for final coats.

Sept 2004: House is completed!
