Recycle to support the new vegetable and flower garden - The Grounds Subcommittee is collecting aluminum cans to raise money for the new garden fencing and other needed grounds and garden supplies. Drop your cans off at the Farmstead anytime! Go down the outside south steps to the basement, under the deck, where there is a large, black trash can labeled "Cans." If you need pick-up, or if you have other metal items that could be recycled, please call the Grounds Subcommittee Chair, Mike Bell, at 336-6141.

Help reclaim the north bulb bed - Would you like a gardening project you can do on your own time? Volunteers are needed to help reclaim the iris and bulb bed at the north (10th Street frontage) of the main house. With a bit of work already this year, a couple of the iris bloomed again. But more work is needed. Laura Bulla, a long-time local landscaper, is overseeing the project and will provide personal training on just what needs to be done. Then the work can be done at your convenience! Interested? - call Laura at 837-9597.

Mission

The mission of the Bloomington Organic Gardening Association is to cooperatively educate about organic gardening and lawn care through workshops and field trips in the city of Bloomington and Monroe County.  Volunteers will do this by having regular meetings to network and inform people of community events and by providing an event calendar.
